A Legacy of Forestry.
The Wattle Company Limited is an agroforestry company located in the Manicaland Province of Zimbabwe. We manage forestry plantations developed into Pine, Eucalyptus and Wattle plantations, with part of our land developed into Macadamia orchards. For decades, we have been dedicated to the sustainable cultivation and management of commercial forests, harnessing the rich, fertile soils and favourable climate of the Eastern Highlands.
Four Divisions, One Mission.
Pine Division
Nyanga & Dunsinane Estates
Located ~65km and ~35km north of Mutare. 20–25 year rotation with 450 hectares harvested and planted annually. 150,000m³ sawlog potential.
Eucalyptus Division
Vumba Estate
Located ~30km south-east of Mutare. 4,930 hectares. Products: transmission poles, telephone poles, fencing poles, droppers (CCA & Creosote treated). Exported across SADC and up to Kenya. Also produces eucalyptus charcoal.
Wattle Division
Chimanimani & Chipinge Estates
Located ~160km and ~200km south of Mutare. 9–10 year rotation. Silverstream Wattle Extract Factory: 6,000 tons/year capacity. Solid and powder form. 99% exported to Asia as leather tannin.
Agribusiness Division
Macadamia Orchards
Since 2022: 412 hectares of macadamia planted. Target: 2,000 hectares by 2029. Boosts foreign currency earnings. 133 employees. Modern irrigation systems, dams, reservoirs.
Protecting What Grows Naturally.
We are committed to protecting indigenous forests, riverine areas, and wetlands across the Eastern Highlands. Through TEAM Vumba, a community-based project, we help clear exotic invasive species from the Vumba mountainous area — preserving the unique flora and fauna that make this region extraordinary.
